The New York State Waterways Project
Small press publishers, exhibiting at the annual New York Book Fair, wanted a year long event. Twenty five poetry publishers joined a consortium that proposed to bring poetry book fairs and readings to the New York State waterways: Hudson River, East River, Erie Canal, Long Island Sound, Finger Lakes, the Saint Lawrence and Niagara Falls.
