My Little Daffodil
Everybody always the same
Not free to decide whether to glide
Crouched down between the others,only
Can watch the butterflies flutter
Hoping to survive as they’re thrown
Every which way
But soon it’s all over
A lifetime of boldness
Just trying to stay alive
My body turned and then split in
two. My life was over and
I already knew
Forever young is how I would’ve
Liked to stay, but no, not me
I never lost control
